SAN FRANCISCO -- The U.S. will work with China to reduce global emissions of methane, a major greenhouse gas, John Kerry, U.S. President Joe Biden's special presidential envoy for climate, said in a recent interview with Nikkei and other media outlets.
Ahead of the Nov. 15 meeting between Biden and Chinese President Xi Jinping, Kerry reached an agreement with Xie Zhenhua, China's special representative for climate change affairs, on measures to stem harmful climate change, including steps to slash the amount of methane spewed into the atmosphere.
