WASHINGTON -- The U.S. will withdraw from the Paris climate agreement, the White House said on Monday, removing the world's second-largest emitter of greenhouse gases from an effort to stop global warming.

The move was announced shortly after Trump took the oath of office and reflects the president's skepticism about climate change.
