TOKYO -- Generation Z and other young consumers in Asia are increasingly interested in ethical fashion, opting for natural dyes, vegan leather and other options that are gentler on the planet and its inhabitants.

Kilomet109 has been a pioneer in the field in Vietnam, coloring its clothes with such natural dyes as indigo, fruit and yam root. Thao Vu, the brand's founder, grows the indigo herself using traditional methods.
