TOKYO -- Japan plans to test seafood daily for the radioactive material tritium after it starts releasing treated water from the damaged Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant, seeking to provide scientific assurances of food safety.
Results of daily testing of flounder and other seafood will be published within two days, the Fisheries Agency said Thursday.
