MANILA -- A spate of land reclamation projects in the Philippines' Manila Bay faces mounting pushback for damaging the area's world-famous views and contributing to flooding and pollution, causing a policy headache for the Marcos administration.

Known for having one of the best sunsets in the world, Manila Bay features heavily in guidebooks and travel websites. But piles of dirt and fleets of construction vessels have marred its views of late.
