Solar power a shining light for Australians hit by high energy prices

SYDNEY -- Demand for solar power is heating up in sunny Australia as soaring energy prices and climate change lead residents to seek ways of saving both money and the planet.

Sales of home solar generation systems have been on the rise, with major energy companies offering incentives for consumers to adopt. Renewables will likely expand their share in the electricity generation mix if this boom continues.
