NEW DELHI -- Isolating Russia in global forums hinders efforts to resolve gridlock stemming from its invasion of Ukraine, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan told reporters at the Group of 20 summit.

"Any initiative that isolates Russia will fail," Erdogan said on Sunday as the summit wrapped up, after leaders agreed on a joint declaration that omitted past language condemning Moscow.
