NEW DELHI/MUMBAI -- With one month left before the Group of 20 summit kicks off, host nation India is gearing up to take center stage as an emerging power of the Global South.

In the capital of New Delhi, where G20 leaders and dignitaries will convene in early September, work is underway to repair roads and install commemorative monuments.
