Philippines tops women business executive ranking of 28 countries

Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia place in top 10; Japan, South Korea fall to bottom

TOKYO -- The Philippines took the top spot among 28 countries in a ranking of the percentage of women in senior management, according to a recent survey by a global accounting group.

London-based Grant Thornton in its annual survey said 43% of senior management positions at Philippine companies are held by women. Three other Southeast Asian nations placed in the top 10 -- Thailand, No. 3; Malaysia, No. 7; and Indonesia, No. 10.
