TOKYO -- The CEO of Inditex, the owner of Spanish global clothing brand Zara, said he still sees China as an opportunity despite the country's sluggish economy and the company is considering expanding its online business there.

"China will continue to be an important market for Inditex," Oscar Garcia Maceiras told Nikkei Asia. "Our approach is to develop a business that meets the needs of customers rather than the macro environment ... We are also thinking of expanding our online platform [in China]."
