TOKYO -- Shiseido, Japan's largest cosmetics and skin care company, is counting on consumers in China and Southeast Asia to help it push global sales to 1 trillion yen ($8.9 billion) by 2023.
China has long been the company's top overseas market in Asia and thus remains important. But in an interview during the Nikkei Global Management Forum on Tuesday, Shiseido President Masahiko Uotani said Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines have also become priorities in the region.
