HONG KONG -- Hong Kong Chief Executive John Lee on Tuesday defended his government's overseas representative offices, the day after the manager of a branch in London was arrested on national security grounds.

Lee, holding his weekly news conference, stressed that the network of Hong Kong Economic and Trade Offices, or HKETOs, "means a lot" to the city and to the places where they operate.
