HONG KONG -- The Hong Kong government announced Monday that it will exempt broadcasters from impartiality requirements for shows about the national security law, national education and national identity, dealing a further blow to the city's media freedom.
TV and radio broadcasters are required to air at least half an hour of programming about these subjects following a government mandate imposed in February.
