SYDNEY -- Australia's government has introduced a new policy to slow international student visa processing as it faces pressure to reduce migration amid a housing shortage and cost-of-living crisis.
The change, introduced on Thursday, provides the ruling Labor Party a legal workaround after its legislation to cap enrollments at 270,000 next year failed to pass the Senate.
