FUKUOKA -- The municipal government of Fukuoka, a city along the northern shore of Japan's southernmost main island, is now fast-tracking visa applications from some foreign IT engineers.

It kicked off the Engineer Visa program on Monday, and VMO Japan, the Japanese subsidiary of major Vietnamese IT company VMO Holdings, is expected to become the first to make use of it.
