TOKYO -- Japanese health officials will soon open the doors wider for foreign health workers to provide in-home nursing care, Nikkei has learned, in a bid to ease the labor shortage in the field.
Starting this April, caregivers holding the "specified skilled worker" visa, along with technical trainees, will be able to provide in-home services unsupervised.
