HONG KONG -- China's expected -- but wary -- economic reopening following a dramatic shift in the country's zero-COVID policy is creating new hope for foreign investors after two years of generally disappointing returns.

But while many are positioning themselves to make the most of a strong market rally, there is widespread caution about what could be a bumpy road ahead in the world's second-largest economy.
