China's foreign minister travels to Myanmar to meet military ruler

BANGKOK -- Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang met with the head of Myanmar's military government in the capital Naypyitaw on Tuesday, the first such meeting since the country's armed forces assumed power in February 2021.

Qin and Min Aung Hlaing discussed the country's political situation as well as cooperation on trade and investment, local media reported.
