BANGKOK -- The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees on Tuesday appealed for continued global attention to the plight of Rohingya displaced from Myanmar, as well as host countries such as Bangladesh, amid a wave of international crises.

"It is important in this troubled world in which we live not to forget existing crises," Filippo Grandi told reporters. "The people who are impacted by the crisis -- in this case the Rohingya and countries hosting them, first and foremost, Bangladesh -- would be penalized by this shift of attention."
