BANGKOK -- Concerns are mounting among Myanmar's opposition supporters over the health of jailed leaders such as Aung San Suu Kyi after the deaths of two recently released senior figures from her National League for Democracy (NLD).

Suu Kyi, who was deposed as state counselor by the military in 2021 and has been detained ever since, is 79 and faces another 26 years behind bars for alleged offenses that include possessing unregistered walkie-talkies.
