JAKARTA -- The Association of Southeast Asian Nations has issued a joint statement noting that some member countries favorably regard Thailand's diplomacy toward Myanmar, including its foreign minister's meeting with Myanmar's jailed elected leader, Aung San Suu Kyi.
The statement was issued on Thursday to summarize the ASEAN foreign ministers' meeting in Jakarta on Tuesday and Wednesday.
