SEOUL -- South Korea's intelligence agency has acknowledged for the first time that North Korean leader Kim Jong Un's daughter is the leading candidate to succeed him, while cautioning that "many variables" are at play.
"Based on a comprehensive analysis of public activities," Kim Ju Ae "at present appears to be the most likely successor," Cho Tae-yong, who has been nominated to lead the National Intelligence Service, said in written answers prepared by the agency before a parliamentary hearing Thursday.
