BEIJING (Kyodo) -- North Korea will convene the second session of its top legislative body this year on Aug. 29, state-run media reported Friday, with all eyes on whether Pyongyang is still eager to continue denuclearization talks with the United States.
North Korea held a session of the Supreme People's Assembly in April. It would be the first time since 2014 for the country's top legislative body to convene for a second time during the same year, according to Radiopress, a Tokyo-based agency that monitors and analyzes overseas broadcasts.
