SEOUL -- South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol is working to draw international attention to human rights violations in North Korea, after years of inaction on the issue.

Yoon met French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris on Tuesday, explaining his government's efforts to address North Korea's human rights situation.
