WASHINGTON/SEOUL -- Despite showing an openness toward a dialogue with North Korea, the U.S. government wants the rogue state to first demonstrate its commitment to denuclearization through concrete, verifiable action.

"I hope they're sincere. We're going to find out soon," President Donald Trump told reporters during a news conference Tuesday.
