SEOUL -- The final hearing on South Korean President Park Geun-hye's impeachment was held Monday, and her attorneys and a prosecutorial panel of the National Assembly continued to clash over various charges of her improprieties in office. The Constitutional Court is expected to produce a ruling as soon as the middle of March.
Park, in a statement submitted to the court, again denied all allegations raised against her. "I have never been involved in corruption" in "my more than 20 years in politics," she said in the statement, read by one of her lawyers. She said she was committed to never betraying the people as she carried out state affairs.
