OSAKA (Kyodo) -- Japanese police are set to arrest a 29-year-old man held by Thai authorities over his alleged involvement in Myanmar-based fraud rings, an investigative source said on Monday.

Osaka prefectural police plan to arrest Tomu Fujinuma after he is transferred to Japan from Thailand on or after March 25, suspecting he assaulted an acquaintance with a stun gun inside a car in Osaka last August and confined him, according to the source.
