BEIJING/SHENZHEN -- A 10-year-old boy stabbed in Shenzhen on his way to a Japanese school has died, Japan's government said on Thursday, confirming the worst fears about an attack that has heightened anxiety across the Japanese community in China.
Japan's Consulate-General in Guangzhou, which provides services in Shenzhen, announced that the boy had died early in the morning, despite emergency surgery and other attempts to save his life.
