TOKYO -- The government agency overseeing the affairs of Japan's imperial family has picked up 1.2 million followers on its official Instagram account in the month or so since debuting on the platform.
The Imperial Household Agency's account posts photos and videos of Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako performing their official duties, such as visiting areas affected by the Noto Peninsula earthquake of Jan. 1.
