BANGKOK -- A 42-year-old man has dominated conversations in Bangkok this week, but for the first time since May, it was not politician Pita Limjaroenrat.

Vacharaesorn Vivacharawongse, the second son of King Maha Vajiralongkorn whose formal title is Rama X, returned to Thailand on Sunday evening after nearly three decades abroad. He arrived at Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport on a commercial flight from New York, where he resides and sits on the board of an energy company.
