LONDON -- India and China may be Asian giants in terms of their economies and geopolitical sway, but the two huge nations have very different Olympic track records.

At the Paris Games, which open on Friday, China will be trying to top its haul of 89 medals won at the 2021 Games in Tokyo. But India's sights are set much lower.
