HONG KONG -- The Hong Kong Sevens rugby tournament is likely to kick off in November under a "closed-loop" system similar to Beijing's Winter Olympics, an official from the game said Wednesday, after years of virus-linked delays.

Robbie McRobbie, chief executive of the Hong Kong Rugby Union, told local radio station RTHK that his organization is awaiting government approval to restart the city's biggest sports showcase with a final decision expected by next month.
