TOKYO --  Hong Kong's Golden Sixty was tipped to enter the history books when the top-rated horse strode to the starting gate at the Stewards' Cup this weekend.

But hopes that he would gallop to a record winning streak vanished as the Australian-bred gelding finished three quarters of a length behind Waikuku at the first leg of the Hong Kong Triple Crown on Sunday.
