JAKARTA -- Indonesia's football federation lamented FIFA's decision to strip the country of hosting this year's U-20 World Cup, saying it may end the nation's hopes of hosting the senior event.

"Our dream to bid for co-hosting the senior World Cup 2034 might have gone with this incident," said Zainudin Amali, vice chairman of PSSI, as the local football association is known, on Thursday.
