TAIPEI/ HONG KONG -- A top Huawei executive has warned of "massive losses" for the electronics and auto industries if pandemic-related lockdowns in and around Shanghai are not eased by May.

Richard Yu, head of Huawei's consumer and auto segment, became the latest industry figure to voice concern that China's strict "zero-COVID" policy could put the country's economy at risk and disrupt global industries.
