BANGKOK -- Thai developer Amata, which operates industrial parks at home and in Vietnam, is now creating a large site in Laos, hoping to attract manufacturers relocating from China as tensions between the U.S. and China persist.
"With the U.S. presidential election looming and uncertainties surrounding China's economic trajectory, we expect more Chinese companies to seek overseas expansion as a lifeline," said Amata founder and Chairman Vikrom Kromadit in an interview with Nikkei Asia.
