TOKYO -- At the Future of Asia forum last week, former Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad stressed that a war does not solve problems and called for countries to work together for the common goal of "peace and stability."

During the 40-minute "fireside chat" of the Tokyo event, he answered questions from Nikkei Asia Editor-in-Chief Shin Nakayama and the audience.
