WASHINGTON -- U.S. President Donald Trump met with U.S. Steel CEO David Burritt at the White House on Thursday, where the leader of the iconic steelmaker is thought to have made the case that Nippon Steel's acquisition fits the president's vision of revitalizing American industry.
The meeting took place in the afternoon, a White House official told Nikkei Asia, but there would be no readout of the meeting.
