NEW YORK -- President-elect Donald Trump steps into office next week with an extensive list of promises to voters.

Trump will take office around midday Eastern time on Jan. 20. He repeatedly said during his campaign that he would take executive action on "Day 1" of his presidency. Some of his plans include ending the Russia-Ukraine war, pardoning rioters who stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, and rescinding Biden administration rules protecting transgender students.
