WASHINGTON -- U.S. President-elect Donald Trump announced that he will nominate lawyer Jamieson Greer to be his U.S. trade representative, tasking him with reducing America's trade deficit.

During Trump's first term, Greer served as chief of staff to USTR Robert Lighthizer, who mentored him.
