NEW YORK -- Donald Trump's imminent return to the White House has prompted a spate of advisories from U.S. universities urging their international students to take caution and return from semester break travels before his Jan. 20 inauguration.

Some of the country's most prestigious schools, including Cornell University, Princeton University and the University of Pennsylvania, have issued guidance to students and staff who are on visas in recent weeks, warning of possible changes in immigration regulations and visa statuses as well as potential travel bans.
