NEW YORK/WASHINGTON -- U.S. President Donald Trump's administration intends to cancel visas of Chinese and Hong Kong students and enhance scrutiny of future visa applications from these jurisdictions.

In a press statement, the State Department said it will work with the Department of Homeland Security to "aggressively revoke visas for Chinese students, including those with connections to the Chinese Communist Party or studying in critical fields."
