HANOI -- Vietnam's Ministry of National Defense kicked off the Vietnam International Defense Expo here Thursday, drawing 240-plus exhibitors from 30 or so countries to one of the largest events of its kind in Southeast Asia as it seeks to modernize and diversify the nation's arms supply.
