TOKYO/KAGOSHIMA, Japan -- China's move toward resuming imports of Japanese beef for the first time in 24 years is raising hopes in Japan's livestock regions, with producers eyeing the Chinese enormous market as their home one shrinks and U.S. tariffs cause global trade turmoil.
