TOKYO -- Canada's Alimentation Couche-Tard said it is working to speed up U.S. regulatory approval of its proposed takeover of Japan's Seven & i, operator of the 7-Eleven convenience store chain, a step that Seven & i sees as the biggest obstacle to such a deal.
