Japan's Daiwa House to buy engineering firm for $1.9bn in data center push

TOKYO -- Japanese developer Daiwa House Industry said Thursday it will acquire electrical engineering company Sumitomo Densetsu in a deal worth 292 billion yen ($1.89 billion) as it seeks to expand its presence in the fast-growing data center business.
