OSAKA -- Japan's leading air conditioner maker Daikin Industries is ramping up its sales outreach to U.S. distribution dealers with a time-tested Japanese business strategy. In 2024, the company lost business with about 8,000 vendors due to supply shortfalls of older models amid a transition to more environmentally friendly products.
