Despite loss, Garuda plans new routes, eyes US re-entry

Garuda says it is continuing with plans for new routes despite dismal financial results for January-September.

JAKARTA -- Flag carrier Garuda Indonesia posted a net loss of $43.6 million for the first nine months ended in September, but remains upbeat with its plans to open new routes domestically and internationally ahead of a re-entry into the U.S. market.
