Program aims to solve talent shortage in critical fields at universities

TOKYO -- Ten Japanese universities will receive a total of more than 100 million yen ($700,000) in annual grants to help foster talent in fields like semiconductors and artificial intelligence in collaboration with European universities, the education ministry announced Thursday.
