Sony PS5 sees Spiderman boom, but sluggish user numbers cloud future

TOKYO -- Sony Group's video game business is swinging to new heights thanks to its immensely popular Spiderman game, seeing a record 123 million monthly active users on PlayStation in December. Yet, the latest console, PlayStation 5, appears to have lost momentum with users despite resolving a supply shortage that had dogged the model since its 2020 launch.
